The "Cookies" category is open, so you can see under it more categories such as "brownies" or "butter, commercially prepared."  Or you can see immediately the food item "fig bars". 

In this simple way you just scroll to the right category you are looking for, click to open it and look in the categories under it to find the subcategory you are seeking until you get to an actual food item.

For instance, above you can see that we have selected "Cookies, Chocolate, Wafers".

With this food explorer you can select foods very quickly.  After "playing" with the database a bit to learn it, you can go directly to the foods you are looking for very easily.
